Agility League 2021-22 Week 8 - League Final [provided by Joe]
We had an incredible year topped off by what was a great final night
playing HIGH STAKES JUMPLERS. And given all the points that were
available, we could have predicted that wild things would occur and they
did.
Before we get to the final results, In HIGH STAKES JUMPLERS, if you go
clean and DOUBLE everything, you can score 306 points, and tonight 2
dog/handler teams accomplished that and another came OH so close.
Quigley and Marianne, and Frankie and Tammy were the two teams that had
perfect 306 scores and Karen and Q came so close with an incredible 305.
OK, \\ That great team is as follows:
Mira and Judy
Q and Karen
Mac and Margarite
Clyde and Martine
Also, special congratulations to those Lovable BOOBY BAR winners, the
Dynamic Doggos. Not only did they win the Booby Bar, but also a roll of
well deserved TOILET PAPER. That team is as follows:
Frankie and Tammy
Elsie and Caroline
Lisa and Rocky
AND
Peak and Captain Whiner
It was a great year and thanks to everyone for helping out. Special
Thanks to Tammy for all the courses, the running order, scoring etc.,
and to Sue Morse for doing an incredible job on the food, and of course
to the Rady's for allowing us to use their wonderful facilities. We
didnt quite make it to spring but we made it through another long
winter, and now we can look forward to next weekend and the great IDTC
CPE TRIAL, that most of us will be competing in.

In all the years We have been doing league, I have NEVER seen a night like tonight where literally CHAOS ruled. As you will see later, we had teams almost in last now FIRST, Yes FIRST, and the team I picked to win the league (Ahem), is now the FAVORITE, yes FAVORITE for the Booby Bar.
Next weeks closing night should be one for the ages, as the doubling game JUMPLERS next week has oodles of points available.
OK, before I go though all the CHAOS that occurred, we must recognize tonights top performers. In CHOICES, we had 4 teams with a high score of 248, as follows: Rose and Joe, Mira and Judy, Jeeves and Jean, Ziba and Katie. In Standard, Gimbal and Martha were tops with 127, and overall high dog for tonight was Jeeves with a 372, which was key for the Crew as you will see.

I dont know where to begin so I am going to start with the CREW humming Dogs, Dogs, Dogs, as Vince Tommy Nikki, and can someone give me the name of the 4th tattooed dude from that band, as they rocked their way from 5th to 1st place tonight. WOW, from the Booby Bar, to the Wine bar for those crazies. The & team, which gave me so much grief about that AND sign, also made a huge move and are just 12 points behind the Crue, going into the final night. The DARK SIDE, had another tough night and now will need a huge rally next week to get the Plaque. The ROCK STARS unlike the CREW rockers, also hit some sour notes tonight and will need an incredible night to hoist the trophy. The Double D's, just when you thought those sad sacks had a lock on the Booby Bar, come along and have a great night and finally my team, THE GLOOMIES were awful, and let me tell you, it will be no fun handing myself the BOOBY BAR, and even worse having Captain Whiner rubbing it in.
WHEW, what a night, and just a precursor to next week and HIGH STAKES JUMPLERS where if you can stay in the box and DOUBLE everything, you have the possibility of each handler/dog team collecting a whopping 306 points.
What a great way to end league next week. An Incredible race, The Plaque, The Booby Bar, The most improved award, The Pizza and Wing party, and all the fun that go's with it.
Get your popcorn ready for HIGH STAKES JUMPLERS.

Agility League 2021-22 Week 6 [provided by Joe]
Today we played BEAT THE CLOCK, and it turned out to be quite the game, as the movement in the standings (at least the middle, as first and last remain the only constant) was the order of the day. The team that was threatening (and was my favorite to win the league) tanked, and a former last place team is now the prime threat, but we will get to that later.
Our top scoring duos tonight were as follows: In BEAT THE CLOCK, Quigley and Marianne put up a monster 102, followed by Jeeves and Jean with an 86. Marianne and Quigley were also tops in STANDARD with a 131 followed by OUR NEW SHOOTER, Dave and his wonderful dog Peenie. Welcome to League and IDTC Dave.

The DARK SIDE, like THE GLOOMIES had off nights, but the DARK SIDE has a new threat and thats a former LAST PLACE team, the ROCK STARS who are only 35 points out of first after wallowing for the 1st half of the League close to the bottom, and if they do end up winning the league, they will be IDTC LEAGUE LEGENDS as no last place team has ever ended at the top. The & team also had a great night and only trail by 47 points, and my team, THE GLOOMIES, even with an off night remain only 50 points from the top with 2 weeks left. That leaves us with the battle for the infamous BOOBY BAR or BB for short, between VINCE AND THE GANG and the DOUBLE D'S or maybe we should call them the DOUBLE B's.
Well, we take a week off for the CPE TRIAL, and then finish what is one of our closest races in years as less than 100 points seperates the entire league. Good luck to everyone competing in the CPE trial this next weekend and see you all in 2 weeks for the great game: CHOICES.

Agility League 2021-22 Week 5 [provided by Joe]
Despite the Frigid temperatures outside, the competition inside was hot and heavy with the wild and crazy game, JUST ONE MORE. And after last week where one team separated themselves from the pack, well that separation took a serious hit as the team yours truly predicted to win the league (YUP, of course my team, The Zoomies) are making a late run.
BUT, before we get to the overall scores, we have to recognize the individual teams that found Just One More, just to their liking.
Marianne and Quigley were the only team to 4 perfect weave sequences and scored a perfect 100, followed by Joe and Rose with a 93. In standard, Joe and Rose were high with a 129, followed by Katie and Ziba with a 123. Joe and Rose were High overall with a 222 total.

Well, well, well, THE DARK SIDE may have practiced their plaque speech a bit early, as THE ZOOMIES cranked out a monster score and now have the DARK SIDE clearly in their sights (and I still have my MAGIC eraser), The AND team had a great night and jumped the ROCK STARS, while VINCE and the BOYS continue to just barely keep the DOUBLE D's in the basement, even with Captain whiner returning to his team, and giving a thoroughly depressing half-time speech.
We now have 3 weeks left, with next weeks game BEAT THE CLOCK on the horizon before we take the following week off for the CPE trial.
Obviously, we are in for a wild ride as NOTHING has been decided, although we are pretty sure that Captain Whiner has a lock on the Booby Bar.
See you all next week for BEAT THE CLOCK, and just to make things even more interesting, we will have a new shooter, who joins us in league all the way form the Volunteer state, so please lets all of us give a warm welcome to our new IDTC Agility League participant, Dave Grodsky and his super nice dog PEENIE.

Today, after a week hiatus, we played SNOOKER, which can always be confounding. Before this week and Snooker, we had an incredibly close race for the top spot, but SNOOKER took care of that and now we have an incredibly close race for Last place and the Booby Bar as you will see.
OK, todays top teams were as follows: In Snooker, Marianne and Quigley had a 74, and Judy and Mira had a 64, and in Standard, Marianne and Quigley had a 131 and Joe and Rose had a 129. Total overall obviously went to Quigley and Marianne with a 205 total helping the former cellar dwellers, Herding Rock Stars continue their move up in the Standings.

Well, the DARK SIDE had to ruin all our fun, and go ahead and show off and take a commanding lead at the halfway point of league, BUT take a look at teams 2-6, only separated by 20 POINTS. The ZOOMIES who yours truly, predicted would win the league are trying to stay with the Dark Side, and the ROCK STARS have made an amazing leap up in the league to now be 3rd, while VINCE AND THE BOYS tanked tonight in Snooker to fall to 4th, THE AND team is barely not the front runners for the Booby Bar, while Captain Whiner and his hangnail had to stay home while the DOUBLE D's took over Booby Bar position.
Remember though, its only halftime, and while the DARK SIDE is already polishing off their Plaque acceptance speeches, we know that all it takes is one bad week, (or a slight slip of my eraser) to fix their smug attitude.

Agility League 2021-22 Week 3 [provided by Joe]
Well, after a 3 week layoff, IDTC Agility League was back in action playing the very fun game: DARE TO DOUBLE, and it was obvious that One team (yup, the 1st Place team) may have partied too hard over the holidays, and another team (yup, the LAST place team) regrouped and had a monster night, making the standings after week 3 closer than they ever have been after 3 weeks in IDTC Agility League history, as you will see.
Tonights top performers were as follows: In DTD, Quigley and Marianne put on a show and scored an incredible 114, followed by Rose and Joe with a 98, and after that Quigley and Marianne scored a monster 132 in Standard followed by Rose, and Frankie and Tammy with 124's. Needless to say, Quigley and Marianne with a total of 246, brought the Rock Stars back into contention as you will see.

YUP, Just 77 points separate top to bottom, and usually I start with the top team, but tonight because the ROCK STARS put on a show tonight, I am starting with the last place team and congratulating them for getting back in the race, in what is an amazingly close race after 3 weeks.
Normally by this time, we have a good idea who are the contenders and who are the BOOBY BAR favorites but this year is completely up in the air. fast AND furryous, yup, I highlighted AND because, their short lived lofty standings were whacked tonight meaning we know which team partied too much over the holidays. The Dark Side is back in 1st, and the Crue are singing Dogs, Dogs, Dogs as they take up the chase. The Zoomies (who Captain Whiner accused them of cheating) are a solid 3rd, and Captain whiners team, even though 5th are just 61 points behind.
What a great day we had today, getting back in the swing.

Tonight , we Played FAST, before we take our holiday break, and wait until you see the scores. Except for one team that seems to be struggling early, we have an incredibly tight race after 2 weeks, which of course is a testament to the guy who puts these teams together. Yup, Im tooting my own horn and since I write these results I can.
Ok, before we get to those tight scores, we have to recognize all the great runs of the individual teams. In FAST, we had 4 dogs who were able to do the special 30 point bonus, and 3 dogs, Rose, Frankie and Quigley, we would expect it but special congrats to Sue Morse and Spin who is still learning the game but he did the special bonus. High dogs overall in FAST were Rose with 89, and Frankie and Quigley with 88. In standard, Frankie and Tammy put on a show to blow us all away with an incredible

WOW, Look at how close those top 5 teams are (Sorry, Rock Stars) as a mere 33 points separate the Double D's from Fast & Furryous. And yes, since you are in first place, I will use your overrated & sign but the minute you fold (which we know you will) I will go back to "and" or "+", so there. The Dark side had their 1 week of glory, and Vince and the gang are still 3rd, while The Zoomies (your eventual champs) and The Double D's are looming large. The Rock Stars are err...........practicing their signatures for that infamous BB bar, but its just week 2 and I know the Rock Stars believe in miracles, right?
OK, we take our Holiday break until January 8th, so we want to take this time to wish everybody a great Holiday season, and we will see you back on January 8th.

We started our First week of our 17th year of IDTC Agility League, with the great game "super" Full house, and we had alot of new faces and new dogs and they all should hold their heads high as they were very impressive for their first time running in League. Dogs like Nala, Tegan, Elsie, Clyde, Raven, Spin and Dallas all showed promise and many of their scores were used by their respective teams.
Before we get to the scores and standings for WEEK 1, we must acknowledge the top dogs. In SUPER Fullhouse, Quigley and Marianne, and Rose and Joe tied with high scores of 80. In Standard, Rose was high with 127, and Mira and Judy R., were 2nd with 125. High overall was Rose with 207.
OK, Here are the Scores and standings for WEEK 1:
1. On the Bark Side 510
2. Fast & Furryous 487
3. Motley Crew 486
4. The Zoomies 478
5. Dynamic Doggos 451
6. Herding Rock Stars 441
So, after week 1, On the Dark Side, thinks they are the team to beat, but we all know that The Zoomies are the real team to beat and are just playing possum. Fast and Furryous (and yes, I will write it anyway I want and if you dont like me leaving your "&" out, too bad) Have a 1 point lead for 2nd over Vince, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and whatever the other dudes name is. The Double D's at least are not the early leaders for the BOOBY BAR, as that honor goes to the Rock Stars. Remember though, the team in first place NEVER wins the league so that is the kiss of death for the Dark Side.
What a great way to start our 17th year of League, and we are sure that many of our newbies will only get better as the weeks pass.
Next week, we play the great game:FAST.
